I was lucky enough to wrap up my June weddings with the marriage of our friends Jamie and Shae in Billings! Jamie and Shae are a couple of the coolest, happiest, most fun loving people I know and to top it off a few of our best friends were in the wedding including my fiancé, Lee! We danced until our legs couldn't hold us anymore with our college buddies in the warm Summer night. It was awesome.
When I'd heard about Jamie and Shae's engagement I was so stoked for them but also secretly hoping they would ask me to be their photographer. Considering they have killer style, the (ahem) coolest friends, and are adorably in love I knew it would be a great one. Needless to say when they asked me to document their wedding, I was ecstatic. Together Jamie and Shae planned a gorgeous and casual evening with an outdoor ceremony at Oscar's Park in Billings. I knew from Shae's sweet T-shirt collection to Jamie's crafts, plants, and always beautiful Instagram pics that they could pull together a look. For starters, they chose a yellow and grey color scheme complete with Shae's yellow Converse "wedding" shoes, collected glasses of all sizes to fill with pretty flowers like yellow ranunculus, (My current favorite and not just because it rhymes with redonkulous), and strung twinkle lights all across the canopy for pretty late night atmosphere. They also had tons of help from their very talented friends and family. Jamie's roommate, Tori, created their invitations and programs, and Larissa hand lettered their signs and decor. While Jamie's sister, Teresa, made the delicious wedding cake. Not to mention the hard labor from the groomsmen.
With the help of so many awesome people, their day came together just as we knew it would. Even with a concerning, extra breezy morning that led to a breezy ceremony the day was just as gorgeous as they planned. Starting with a super sweet first look by the river and ending with a calm beautiful night dancing on the deck. Friends and family came together to watch them exchange vows and shared the evening celebrating their love.
The best part? These two were soo excited to be married. Shae was beaming when he saw Jamie as his bride and Jamie keep saying, "I'm Mrs. Wilemon, I can't believe in married" with a huge grin when it was all over. We snuck off for a few newlywed photos when the sun was just setting and they were so happy. It kind of made me swoon. It was an honor to be apart of their day and and to call them friends.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Wilemon! I know you'll have such a happily ever after!
